Redwoods, Redwoods and the Southern Oregon Coast Big Adventure. May 27-June 1, 2024 Sold Out Wait List!
In this amazing 6-day adventure will start in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, hitting multiple trails in search of Rhododendrons. Then we will hit the Lady Bird Johnson Grove in Redwoods National Park. Next up is Del Norte Redwoods and on to Jedediah-Smith Redwoods State Park. The Redwoods Portion of this class will visit many different Groves and the timeframe will give use the best chance a Rhododendrons.
Over the next two and a half days We hike as many of the trails in this area as we can, and we will visit the Lady Bird Johnson Grove in Redwoods National Park while we are in this outstanding area.
After four unforgettable days hiking amongst the giants, we will move to the Brookings Area in Oregon and enjoy a sunset followed by a sunrise at Secret Beach in the Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Area. This is a beach you must see in person to believe!
It will be hard to leave this area, but then it is on to one of the best photographic beaches in the country: Face Rock Beach in Bandon Oregon. Here we once again will do evening light into sunset and right back out for sunrise to finish off this Big Adventure. You may love this area so much that another day or two after class may be required!
For this class you must be able to hike up to 4-5 miles a day on trails in the Redwoods. This milage will be broken up in two or three hikes during each day. Cost of this class is only $1100 for the entire 6 days with a $550 deposit to hold your spot.
